Our Sunday Gatherings

Here at Restore, our preaching approach may be a little unfamiliar to those who have grown up in more traditional church spaces — we employ a model of dialogical preaching similar to what may have been used by Jesus and the leaders of first century churches. We view Sunday worship as a time for gathering around a symbolic table for a meal rather than a performance on a stage with passive observation. So we make it our goal to pose or ignite questions rather than dispense answers, and we seek to honor the rich history of christian traditions by incorporating old hymns, modern songs, and liturgical prayers/readings into our gatherings. It’s our hope that our worship gatherings feel relational, warm, and inclusive – which for us means that all are welcome to share/participate as much or as little as they want, but no one is obligated. We value curiosity and strive to maintain a posture of theological, intellectual, and relational generosity.

We are a relationally-centric church, not an event-centric church. If you come expecting polished excellence, you’ll be disappointed. But if you come seeking connection, we hope you’ll find it. We welcome and enjoy having kids participate in our gatherings and we also offer childcare for those who need it.

**Worship gatherings last approximately 1 hour**
